The last 45 minutes of the branding at Porter's Ranch, Arroyo Grande. I draw fast and paint in color notes - as they do the "last go-round" of roping calves to be branded. It looks like a cartoon, but it has the flavor of the day. The weathered red-wood barn in California; the busy activity getting the job done right - soon it will be delicious lunch time.
